PINELOPI ANDREOU

The Saloni translates as the “living room” from Greek; a project focused on not forgetting parts of Pinelopi's childhood. Her family immigrated from Cyprus to the UK, and this is large reason for the need to not forget where she came from. This act of remembering is shown through footage of Pinelopi and her family when they were living in Cyprus, and a replica of their living room in Cyprus. The 10-minute video combines this forgotten footage with conversations between her grandmother, sister and mother. They talk about memories they hold of the time they lived there, and recollections of their house.
