SCARLET WINTER

Just as the magpie lines its nest with silver, every being is drawn to objects of their desire.

This body of work sits within a fictional world, one that is concerned with the feeling of nature and the powerful freedom that accompanies it. The work is born from the consideration of small things: things that wait, enclosed in mud and nesting beneath rocks, to be discovered and adored. Traces of the past are immortalised by careful documentation, by seeking knowledge from artefacts to internalise and keep.
